Blogging Guide
How to write and publish a post
How to format your posts:
- The title of your post should clearly tell readers the topic of your post
- If writing about a book: The title of your post must include the topic of your post AND the book title and author. (Example: Themes in The Executioner’s Song by Norman Mailer)
- Your spelling and grammar do not have to be perfect, but your writing must be clear and organized. To begin a new paragraph, simply press “Enter” (The “Tab” key does not work for this blogging platform)
What to blog about:
- Your SSR book
- Any text we have read in class or as part of your homework
- A world issue that relates to topics we are studying in class
- A topic of your choice that connects to English class in some way
Ideas for blog posts about reading:
- Look back at your metacognitive logs in your notebook and expand on one or more of your entries
- Reading response topics
- More reading response topics
